What is Women’s Fiction Day?

Women’s Fiction Day was established by WFWA in 2019 to celebrate the authors, stories, readers, bookstores, and fans of the women’s fiction genre.

For Writers

Whether you write women’s fiction that delves into family dynamics, female friendships, job challenges, or long-buried secrets, or you write lighter reads or denser narratives, WFWA wants to promote you and your fabulous books.

  • All Day: Drive time, Coffee break, Lunch, or Evening Relaxation, tune into a special edition of Maggie Smith's popular Hear Us Roar podcast featuring the three finalists of WFWA's STAR Award for Debut Fiction as they talk books and the women's fiction genre. 
  • 11:00 a.m EST: Take notes as WFWA's webinar host Lisa Montanaro interviews literary agent Carly Watters from the popular podcast The Shit No One Tells You about Writing on the Women's Fiction Writers Association IG Live
  • 11:00 a.m EST: and 2:00 PM EST: "Lainey Cameron will be talking what is Women's Fiction, highlighting authors you might want to follow and cool offers from authors for women's fiction day ."
  • 2:30 PM EST: Join Bookish Road Trip's Mary Helen Sheriff and Grace Sammon and Women's Fiction Writers Association's Sharon Ritchey and Wendy Gold Rossi at Bookish Road Trip on Instagram.  They will be chatting about women writers, stories, communities and so much more.
