2019 WFWA Workshops 

January 7 - 12 Prepare Your Pitch Workshop (January)

Join us in a fun, fast, and productive workshop to polish a 50-word pitch and a twitter pitch. You'll get a chance to post both pitch versions of one manuscript, get feedback from peers, revise once, and then get follow-up feedback. 

The Prepare Your Pitch workshop will run twice in 2019, in advance of our two Agent Pitch Events (in February and July). Participation in Prepare Your Pitch is a stand alone workshop, however we strongly advise participating in this workshop if you intend to join the Agent Pitch Event.

January 27 - February 2  Grabbing the Reader Workshop

Time for your favorite workshop. Do you have a new women's fiction manuscript? Or are you reworking the beginning of a WF WIP? Test out your first 500 words on your fellow authors and get feedback on how engaging it is. Then rework it for a second round of praises and pointers. And funnest of all, feel good about helping an author pique more interest out of a reader.

Free workshop open to all members. Registration period is January 5 - 20. No late registrations will be accepted. A member friend can register for you if you are unable to register yourself during this period.

February 22 - March 1 February Online (Agent) Pitch Event

April 15-21 Big Wide World of Editing

Build your editing skills by learning three lessons from three teachers on editing word choice, sentence variety, and more. Make your writing powerful to attract agent interest. Registration opens April 1.

August 11 - 17 Raising the Stakes-A Holistic Aproach by Margaret Dilloway

Margaret Dilloway will be offering a three-part video workshop with assignments and a review of a few randomly selected assignments. Registration July 21-31.
