ABOUT THE WORKSHOP:
This three-week workshop is designed to help writers view their novels from a big-picture perspective by distilling the essence of their work onto a single page. This exercise is useful for testing ideas in the planning stage, clarifying direction during drafting, or refocusing for revisions.
In Week 1, participants attend a live introduction to the One Pager, with a Q&A session (a recording will be available for those unable to join live). Throughout the week, students work on drafting their One Pagers and can engage with and ask Robin questions on the Workshop Hub.
In Week 2, students engage in prompted discussions and Q&A through the WFWA online community. They submit their One Pagers to Robin and sign up for a small group session (all scheduled before the workshop begins and posted by March 18 when registration opens).
In Week 3, students continue their online discussions as they receive written feedback on their One Pagers and participate in a small group session for hot seat coaching and final Q&A.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR: Robin Henry
Robin Henry is an Author Accelerator Certified Book Coach and holds an MLS (Library Science) and MA in Humanities. She is a librarian, adjunct professor of Humanities and Library Science, and an independent scholar and book coach, specializing in Historical Fiction, Cozy Mysteries, and Literary Fan Fiction. She has over 20 years of experience working with books and authors, as a reviewer, book award committee member, writing teacher, and coach.
