Description:

Have you dreamed of turning a personal experience of heartache, loss, or trauma into a book, whether non-fiction or fiction, but didn’t know how or where to begin? If so, this webinar is for you. Delving into our lived experiences, emotions, and truths, and focusing on the “Inside You” can help you get over pain in a constructive way: by writing down what hurt us, and still hurts us. You will walk away from this webinar with tips for narrowing down your focus, outlining and organizing your writing, beginning your story, finding ways to stay motivated to finish, and effectively capturing your personal experience onto the page. Felice will touch upon examples from her own experience of heartache and loss and how she used writing to heal and create her award-winning memoir Half In: A Coming-of-Age Memoir of Forbidden Love, about her lesbian, age-gap affair she kept secret for three decades.

Bio:

Known nationally and internationally as the woman who lived in one of the world’s smallest apartments, Felice Cohen is the award-winning author of the bestseller Half In: A Coming-of-Age Memoir of Forbidden Love, 90 Lessons for Living Large in 90 Square Feet (...or More), and What Papa Told Me, a memoir about her grandfather’s life before, during, and after the Holocaust. Half In has been endorsed by Rita Mae Brown and won the "2022 Book of the Year for Outstanding LGBTQ" from the Independent Author Network, and has rave reviews. Felice has been featured on Good Morning America, NBC, CBS, NPR, Time, Globe & Mail, New York Daily News, the Daily Mail and more. What enabled Felice to “live large” in that tiny studio is that she has been a professional organizer for over 25 years. She splits her time between New York City and Cape Cod, MA.
