WORKSHOP DATES: Sunday, April 6, 2025 at 1PM ET/12 PM CT/ 11AM MT/10 AM PT on Zoom PRESENTED BY: Tonya D. Price
WORKSHOP OVERVIEW:
In this hands-on workshop, writers will work with Tonya D. Price to build a personal business plan to guide their writing careers with clarity and purpose. Starting with a vision statement, attendees will define what they aim to achieve in their writing business and writer careers as they build the long-term value of their intellectual property. By crafting a mission statement, writers will align their goals with the identity they wish to build and be known for.
From there, we’ll explore essential components of a comprehensive business plan, including a product plan, marketing strategy, social media, branding, sales, finance, and more. This session emphasizes the business plan as a flexible, evolving tool, adapting as goals and circumstances change. Examples, discussions, and ample time for questions will ensure each attendee leaves equipped to create a plan they can use throughout their writing journey.
Format: This 180-minute workshop will be divided between a PowerPoint presentation (which will be shared with participants afterward), time for everyone to work on their own Business Plan, and time for sharing.
