Women’s Fiction Day

Social Media: Templates and Contest

For this year's celebration of Women's Fiction Day, we've created six templates sized for use on Instagram and Facebook. You can also use these templates on your website, in your newsletter, on your Substack, or any other platform.

We've also provided text details to make posting as easy as possible. Copy and paste the blurb at the bottom of this page to your post(s).

Customizable Canva Links

The links below will open in a Canva window for editing. You do not need an existing Canva account to edit the templates, but you will need to establish an account if you want to download your edited version(s). You'll notice that the templates have blank photo blocks and text spaces to add your own pictures and verbiage. Templates are sized to Instagram and Facebook standards.

To download your edited versions of the templates within Canva

  1. Once you've edited your template, click the SHARE button in the top right corner of the Canva dashboard. If you do not have an existing Canva account, you will be prompted to create one. Canva offers a permanently free account with no subscription requirements.
  2. From the drop-down SHARE menu, choose the type of file you prefer. Be sure to select the 'page' (template version) you want to download.
  3. Click DONE, and DOWNLOAD.

PNG and JPG Graphic Templates

For those who prefer to use Adobe or other graphic editing software, we've created Instagram and Facebook folders (with files sized for each format) of PNG and JPG versions for all (6) graphics in each. Anyone with the links below can access the folders and templates within (as a 'viewer' only).

To edit the PNG or JPG graphics:

  1. DOWNLOAD the files of your choice from the folders below.
  2. RENAME the downloaded file with your own name and/or information.
  3. USE the newly named files to make edits in the software of your choice.

Text For Your Posts

Copy and paste the entire PROMO BLURB below into your post. You can modify the verbiage or use it exactly as is.

NOTES:

Add the last line and link to your post's comments. Or, create a QR code connected to that link — then add the QR code to your graphic. The Canva dashboard has a QR Code tool at the bottom of their left-side menu.
